Sibridge Technologies appoints semiconductor veteran as CEO to spearhead rapid growth; Opens Design Center in Silicon Valley

Rajesh Shah to bring wealth of semiconductor IP & EDA expertise at helm of innovative design services startup

Fremont, California, March 19, 2008: Sibridge Technologies, a leading provider of verification-to-validation solutions for chips companies, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Rajesh Shah as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In addition, the company has opened a new design center in the heart of the Silicon Valley to better serve chip customers. Sibridge Technologies is an innovative services startup that provides value-added solutions in the verification-to-validation of SoCs for technology companies.

Sibridge was founded in 2007 by two Valley veterans with extensive experience in semiconductor product development and design services. Samir Shroff, now V.P. Engineering at Sibridge, led the development of complex SoCs for communications market at Silicon Spice and Broadcom, and later drove the growth of the chip design services division at eInfochips in India. Tapan Joshi, V.P. Marketing, has led the growth of several semiconductor businesses like TriCore at Infineon, and MiniRISC at LSI Logic, in addition to embedded systems business at companies like Nucore and einfochips.

"We were looking to supplement this talented team with a veteran of semiconductor IP & EDA, and we found a visionary leader in Rajesh," said Samir. "He brings a fresh perspective on value-oriented services and a wealth of industry relationships that will be essential to making Sibrige a vital supplier to the semiconductor design industry."

"The Sibridge team is a unique mix of chip verification experts and embedded softare developers who have worked as a team to help bring several complex SoCs to market," said Rajesh. "They share a common vision of bridging the verification-to-validation gap that exists in today’s SoC development projects, and the customer feedback is very encouraging."

Rajesh Shah is a serial entrepreneur with more than 17 years of experience in engineering and business development of semiconductors. His strength lies in identifying and unlocking the optimal value for customers in technology products and services. Prior to Sibridge, Rajesh Shah started and managed the IP and System Solutions group for Open- Silicon, one of the fasted growing fabless ASIC companies in the industry.

Previously, Rajesh Shah was CEO of chip startup Xpedite Communications (successfully acquired by Multilink Technologies, now part of Vitesse). Xpedite Communication was the first chip company to develop an ASIC for 16G Ethernet processing engine with multiple end applications. Before Xpedite, Rajesh was a founding employee of Photuris (acquired by Meriton Networks Inc.), where he managed 2 ASICs for 10G MPLS switch over DWDM. Rajesh started his career as an UltraSPARC design engineer at Sun before leading an ASIC at Pipelinks (acquired by Cisco). Rajesh has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

The new Silicon Valley office is located at 47640 Femont Boulevard, Fremont, Calif. 94538.
