Silicon Valley veterans launch innovative
design services company
Sibridge Technologies aims to “bridge”
the gap between Silicon Valley products & India services
Ahmedabad, July 1, 2007:
Sibridge Technologies announced the launch of its first design
center in Ahmedabad, India. The design center is located in
a 3200 sq ft state-of-the-art facility complete with a recreation
room for engineers. The company is focused on providing no-excuses,
top-notch design verification services to semiconductor companies
worldwide. The founders Samir Shroff and Tapan Joshi, have
more than 35 years of semiconductor and embedded design, marketing
and management experience between them.
Samir was most recently Director of ASIC Engineering at eInfochips,
where he successfully grew revenue and teamsize rapidly in
a span of 3 years. In his Silicon Valley experience, he has
led engineering teams at Broadcom(Silicon Spice), LSI Logic
and National Semiconductor. Samir has spearheaded more than
50 chip design and verification projects during his career.
Tapan Joshi started his career in chip design at Chips and
Technologies and Sun Microsystems, and later moved to marketing
and business development at LSI Logic, Infineon and eInfochips.
He has led the product definition and management of several
semiconductor and embedded systems products and is considered
a thought leader in the services industry.
The founders of Sibridge Technologies have identified the
major issues involved in the rapidly growing design services
market, and have assembled a crack team in conjunction with
a clear focus on providing expert-level verification-to-validation
solutions. “The design services market clocked almost
$2.5B last year in India alone, and is poised to grow rapidly
at 20-25% each year. The market demands focused, value-added
solutions from the services vendors and this is an opportunity
for the Sibridge team to make its mark”, said Tapan
Joshi, Founder.
