	The focus of OVP is to accelerate the adoption of the new way to develop embedded software – especially for SoC and MPSoC platforms. There are three main components of OVP: Open Source models, Free OVPsim simulator, Modeling APIs. OVP is easy to use, open, flexible, and importantly, free.

	The OVM is based on the IEEE 1800 SystemVerilog standard and supports design and verification engineers developing advanced verification environments that offer higher levels of integration and portability of Verification IP. The methodology is non-vendor specific and is interoperable with multiple languages and simulators.
